The Lesson
We suggest the first lesson is 1 hour and then a minimum of weekly 1/2hour lessons initially to benefit from the technique, we have students that come 2 or more times a week and others once a fortnight. It really depends on finance and motivation. In the beginning the teacher will spend the majority of time on vocal exercises to help you to sing in a healthy way and to understand the process of singing. When the singer is grasping the basic concepts they will start to apply them to songs, which after all is the sole purpose of vocal technique...right?
The studio has a wide range of backings and all the teachers can play a basic piano and/or guitar accompaniment. If you have specific songs/keys or originals then you may need to provide a backing, accompaniment or music. Lessons are recorded onto a CD so you can practice between lessons and re visit the instructions.
For those coming to see Line Hilton: Dexter the Border Terrier extraordinaire hangs out with her when she teaches. So far he hasn't wanted to join in, too busy sleeping or chewing a bone!! So let her know if you have problems with dogs, he can be elsewhere.
If you require either teacher to travel to you then there will be a charge for travel time at the hourly rate.
Can't get to the studio?
Even if you are overseas or can't travel to the studio for any reason the lessons are also available over the phone, via Skype or iChat. Please indicate if you wish to have lessons online. Currently we have online students from as close as Richmond to as far away as Australia.

Bookings
To book a lesson
Email the studio with name of your preferred teacher in the Subject box. Please provide your contact email address and a telephone number. The teacher will be in contact with you as soon as possible.
Sing Vocal Studio Policies
One off Bookings
Cancellations with less than 24 hours of notice will be charged at the full fee.
Perpetual/Block Bookings
Cancellations with less than 48 hours of notice will be charged at the full fee.
Prepaid lessons
Unless otherwise agreed between the client and teacher prepaid lessons must be taken within 12-months of the initial payment or the payment/balance will be forfieted.
