Barbara Amoakohene
Barbara is a talented singer songwriter who has recently completed a BMus Honours in Popular Music Performance.
She has always had a great passion for music and has been singing from a young age.
Currently a member of the vocal faculty at the prestigious Institute of Contemporary Music Performance, Barbara also runs a Pop Vocal Workshop within Stagecoach, teaching young singers the importance of microphone technique, performance skills and stage presence within popular music.
As a singer songwriter she regularly performs with her original Funky House& Disco band Kohene, and is the lead singer and manager of The Kohene Collective a jazz/funk function band. As a session singer, Barbara has performed lead and backing vocals for a variety of songwriters and producers.
Barbara became aware of the great benefits Speech Level Singing gave her own voice and now, as a certified instructor in the method, has a great passion for passing the technique onto students.

- Session Vocalist for music producers Kevin Bacon and Jonathon Quarmby who have also worked with artists such as Sugababes, Pretenders, Finley Quaye, David Garrett, Robert Palmer.
- Rick Astley - Shepherds Bush Empire – 2006 - Choir under the direction of Kim Chandler who has worked with artists such as Michael Jackson, Bjork and P Diddy
